-1. Why are we even comparing mini-conferences with PyCon India? There
is absolutely no point to hike prices based on other conferences
charging more. The whole idea behind such a big event like PyCon India
should remain same i.e. it should be affordable for everyone. It
should attract new folks to contribute to Python ecosystem; to make
them a part of the community.

+1. I think that is very good point raised. The only reason we dropped
JNU was because it was costing too much. We focused on reducing the
costs for venue, but having a great event experience all together. If
we're not able to attract new people to the conference just because of
such prices, then there is no point in even having the conference.

There are just so many people who would actually drop-off from
attending PyCon India because of such prices. On the other hand, we're
expecting approximately double attendance than usual.

I think we need to really re-evaluate the statistics and carefully
think here on what we're trying to achieve.
