Just for the record, I am +1/+1 on both of these. Having an invited speaker
who brings a lot of experience and perspective to the conference is
definitely a big plus for a conference. And since the only place we can find
people of that stature in the python world are abroad, we invite people from
abroad. And since we are inviting them, and since the costs are non-trivial,
we should subsize those.
