[Idle-dev] Foolish consistency?

I'm pretty sure that the shell windows use tabs to
conform more closely to the behavior of a "normal"
console interaction, where tabs are used pretty
strictly for scope (or logical level or whatever it's
called)

In the Editor windows, well it might have something to
do with Tk having a fixed tabwidth, there's more
information in the AutoIndent.py in the IDLE source.
There is an entry in config.txt called [AutoIndent]
underwhich you might try putting "usetabs=0" or
something..  have fun.
