[Flask] Duplicate log lines in python

Hi,
This is not a Flask question, but more of a python question. I have root logger configured and a rotating file handler added to the root logger. I am using some format string to display the log lines. However, once the log rotation is done, the format string is not used at all in the new log file. The log lines are printed as is without any format string.
Has anyone encountered a similar issue ?
