Initial Comment:
I am trying to build expat on a sun solaris system and 
I get the following error during the build.

 cc: -a conflicts with -dy

I used the --prefix option during the ./configure 
execution.  Everything else was done just as the 
documentation suggested.

Any help would be much appreciated.
