There are several options available: http://www.euroscipy.org/sponsors/become_a_sponsor.html Pre-Conference Courses ---------------------- Would you like to learn Python or about some of the most used scientific libraries in Python? Then the "Python Summer Course" [1] might be for you. There are two parts to this course: * a two-day course "Introduction to Python" [2] for people with programming experience in other languages and * a three-day course "Python for Scientists and Engineers" [3] that introduces some of the most used Python tools for scientists and engineers such as NumPy, PyTables, and matplotlib Both courses can be booked individually [4]. Of course, you can attend the courses without registering for EuroSciPy. Everybody can bring her/his own laptop and connect it to the projector. That is what we did last year and we had no problems. Alternatively, I have a laptop with Windows XP and OOO as well as the latest version of Acrobat Reader. So PDFs and OOO and Power Point presentations can be brought on a stick. It is recommended to have a PDF as fall-back just in case the other format does not work properly.
