Well, the trial runs went ahead and the feedback was all very positive and encouraging. So a big thank you to everyone who helped out, or offered to do so (and I'm sorry to keep you waiting for so long!) I'm pleased to announce that the Python Quickstart course (beginner level) is finally ready and that a first date has been set for the 14th-15th April, with more to follow. Tickets are available on the Eventbrite page . The more advanced course (now called Better Python) is still being finalised and I expect to announce dates for that in the coming weeks. You can find more details and sign up for updates on the website: www.codecoaching.ninja For questions it's easier for me if you email me at andrew at codecoaching.ninja but feel free to reply here for general comment/discussion :-) Cheers, Andrew -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... I'm working on a couple of new courses for later on this year, maybe we should meet up for a pint again? I'd be really interested to hear how your trial courses went. Thanks for the kind words. I hope your python for biologists course is still going strong too. I'm in land of no wifi at the minute but will be in touch once I'm back in civilisation and arrange a catch up. Message-ID: Hi All, We will be running a pub meetup tomorrow (Tuesday) night downstairs at Milnes Bar on Hanover Street, from 6:30pm. There will be printouts of the Python logo on the tables to make it easy to spot us. This is a great opportunity to meet other Python developers and aspiring Python developers in an informal environment, ask questions and generally talk about things that interest you! We'll be running talks next month. It'll be a ticketed event with limited spaces, so keep an eye on the mailing list for announcements! See you tomorrow! You simply work through lessons which are relevant to you, with help close at hand. The aim is for you to learn what is most useful to you without being constrained by the pace of the group. There will still be presentations & demonstrations, but on a break-out basis, to clusters of people at the same level. Additionally, you are invited to bring in your own code so you get a chance to see how you could apply the new practices in a real world situation and ask questions. I believe this will help everyone get more value out of the sessions (and avoid the problems of picking the right course for you). Those who had already booked in have been informed, and sound very happy with the change. See http://www.codecoaching.ninja/#python-workshop for full details. If you have any questions, please email me at andrew at codecoaching.ninja. Thanks for reading! Andrew -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... URL:
