From Mark.Hughes at stafffinders.co.uk Tue Feb 2 05:50:39 2016 From: Mark.Hughes at stafffinders.co.uk (Mark Hughes) Date: Tue, 2 Feb 2016 10:50:39 +0000 Subject: [Python Edinburgh] Developer Opportunities for Group Distribution Message-ID: Further to my recent contact with Mark Smith, can you please notify the group of the following Job Opportunities for Python Developers? My Edinburgh based clients, Mercurytide are a leading web-system development company focused on creating beautifully designed software. All their systems are bespoke, using their own custom-built CMS modules as a core foundation, with no two projects being the same. Due to their continued success they are urgently looking for Python Developers at varying levels of experience. Working with a smart and supportive team in an environment where your opinion matters and your ideas make a real difference, you will be involved in designing and building technical solutions that fulfil client requirements in innovative yet practical ways, and which make use of a range of modern web technologies. You will be responsible for designing and building reusable systems and libraries, writing well designed, efficient, and maintainable Python code within the Django framework. You will have the confidence to challenge the status quo with the ability to ask difficult questions to help deliver the best results, while always looking to improve yourself through new skills, technologies and tools which the company will actively support. Ideally, you will have 3+ years' experience coding with Python, up to date knowledge of browser capabilities and experience with Linux development and deployment environments (such as Puppet, Docker and Salt, among others). You can expect a basic salary of ?25,000 - ?40,000, dependent on both ability and depth of experience, and a short test is conducted as part of the application process to help assess this. Mercurytide also offer a range of benefits, including generous pension contributions and annual leave entitlement, private health insurance, and regular social events among others. There will be a pub meetup tonight, at Milne's Bar on Hanover St from 6pm onwards. We'll be at a table downstairs, and there will be printouts of the Python logo on the table. Thank you to everyone who responded to my request for volunteers last month! I'll get back to you soon to arrange how you can help things run more smoothly than I manage by myself :) Mark -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... URL:
