We are going to be recruiting for a number of roles, kicking off with a Senior Software Engineer/ Software Team Leader who will be instrumental in the set up and success of this new team. My client is a global marketing and product development company about to open a greenfield development centre in Edinburgh, and they are looking for a senior software engineer to spearhead their expansion ? so I wondered if you would be interested. Salaries would be on offer between ?45,000 - ?60,000 for the right candidate, as would the chance to really make your mark. You will be working to build a really major player in the Edinburgh employment market, to a team of 10 this year, and then beyond. The products will be built in Python and Django, so you must have core technical experience in these, and have experience of building and leading teams. Please get in touch if you are considering moving employer. There won?t be a more exciting and career changing opportunity in Scotland this year, and I would be delighted to talk you through the role in more detail. Please get in touch on 0131 510 1500 or sam.wason at cathcartassociates.com Many thanks in advance for your time, Regards, Sam -- Sam Wason Director Cathcart Associates 11 Castle Street, Edinburgh, EH2 3AH e: 0131 510 1500 a: 01224 51 51 81 m: 07876 55 30 30 www.cathcartassociates.com www.linkedin.com/in/samwason www.twitter.com/CathcartRecruit Cathcart Associates has recently been recognised as one of the Best Small Recruitment Consultancies in Scotland by S1 Jobs, one of the Best Small Recruitment Consultancies in the UK at the Global Recruiter Awards, and as one of the Best Companies to Work for by REC [http://www.s1jobs.com/ui/images/news/234x174-770880.jpg][GR_AWARDS_FINALIST_WEB smaller][cid:image005.png] Refer a friend ? I met with the leadership team yesterday, one is a returning Scot who was a senior employee at Microsoft and is really keen to support the Python community in Scotland. They are looking to hire at all levels to set up their first sprint team. Keen to engage, be good citizens and give you as much information as possible. I'm not a developer nor have any experience in the creative industry. However, I'm pleased to see growth in Edinburgh, and in particular in Python and Django. I live in Edinburgh with my family and for the latter I have a long term amateur interest in Python and Django and in fact have used it extensively to build a management system for an organisation I run, The Scottish Oil Club. The Scottish Oil Club has grown in recent years and not having built the management system would have severely hampered that growth. It's good. Good luck in your search and good luck to Hogarth / Zonza in Edinburgh! --rms Rob Schneider RMSchneider Limited +44 759-533-3005 www.rmschneider.com rmschne at rmschneider.com Registered in Scotland 251819 On 13 Aug 2013, at 19:30, Kevin Renton wrote: > Hi Python Community Member. > > Apologies for the direct mail, and I also think that you may have received a similar email already. This is a quick reminder that tomorrow is August's Pub Meetup, at Berts Bar[1] from around 6pm. There will be good beer, cheap(ish) food and geeky banter. This month, Mark Shannon is visiting from Oxford. He was responsible for a significant rewrite of Python's dictionary implementation, and knows more than most about Python's inner workings. He's not giving a talk or anything, but he's always interesting to talk to :-) Hope to see you there! --Mark 1: http://www.bertsbar.co.uk/berts-bar/home/berts-bar-edinburgh.html -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
