Thanks, Simon, great explanation!  I'm relieved that I'm not going crazy.
I'll try the .htaccess trick after some research.  And I'll forward your
explanation on to SourceForge if you don't mind.

One puzzle still remains though.  *Some* of the styles in the stylesheet
from SourceForge *are* being acted upon.  In a compound style (more than one
";"-separated entry in the style), *some* of those lines are being acted
upon, some not.  Looks like a weird Netscape 4 bug.
