[Distutils] rst not rendered on pypi

Hi everyone,

I'm trying to get my README.rst [1] display properly on my PyPy project
[2], but for some reason it's displayed as raw text. The file was created
from a README.md [3] via
```
pandoc README.md -o README.rst
```
Any hints on what may have been going wrong?
