[Distutils] pypi suggestion

pypi really needs a way to sort packages by popularity.  Sorting by other factors, such as author, code size, pure python/compiled, etc would be a bonus,  But something to put most "important"/popular, etc. packages first would be great.
 
I apologize if it's there and I just don't see it :)
