[Distutils] bug in archive_util.unpack_archive ?

Python version was not very explicit in the message. The bug actually 
happens with 2.4 and not with 2.5.

We found out it is a bug in python tarfile module itself in 2.4,
  which seems to be fixed in 2.5.
