[DB-SIG] Any standards beyond DB API?

In the next release, loading of the system tables will be implemented in
Python (or rather by the Replication Manager scripted through Python).
Because our packages are big enough right now, we thought to restrict the
Python redistribution to those parts that are really necessary for this
task.
