[C++-sig] Help with problem caused going from boost_1_33_1 to 1_35_0

I also have the same issue under WinXp with VC-8.0. So it is either the
Jamfile settings or the library itself. To work around this, I'd like to set
up the Jamroot to work for linking to the static binary for boost_python
that has been installed as a binary rather than linking to the locally built
file. I looked extensively online but couldn't find any examples of how to
do this.
i.e how do I change the line

project
     : requirements <library>/boost/python//boost_python/<link>static

so I can link to $(BOOST_ROOT)/lib/boost_python-vc80-mt-1_35.lib (under
WinXP)
or /usr/lib/libboost_python.a (under Ubuntu).

Thanks.
