[C++-sig] setup.py denies VS6 installed

Never mind. I have it working now. Sorry for asking so many questions 
-- we're under an intense deadline here and so I'm swallowing my pride 
asking for help where I think it might  save a lot of time. Hopefully 
when I know more I'll be able to contribute here myself.
