I recently started testing parts of boost under Sun WS 7. My
experience was that the compiler's template machinery is so badly
broken that there's little hope of getting Boost Python to work with
it until a lot of time has been invested in workarounds for the
compiler bugs. I don't expect it to work with Sun for at least another
month or two, and that's if we are able to really devote time to
porting boost to that compiler. In the meantime I suggest using GCC on
Sun.
