This is the first PyCon DE. We have a website with minimal information up: http://de.pycon.org/ The schedule will look like this: October 4, 2011 tutorials October 5-7, 2011 presentations October 8/9, 2011 sprints Since we are still planing, we have no official announcement yet. This will be done as soon as we have a bit more substance on conference web site. So if you plan a Python conference in 2011 and still haven't decided on the date, early October might not be the best time. ;) To avoid (too much) overlapping of dates of Python conferences you can have a look at: http://www.python-academy.com/events/python_events.html If you have more information about upcoming conferences just let me know, so I can add it to the table. We are early stages of planning also. Only informed the organiser of PyCon UK and the Python Ireland group unofficially. We needed to have a venue secured (negotiating with hotel atm) before any official announcement. We decided to pick those specific dates in-between All-Ireland Gaelic finals, and Octogon (Sci-fi festival) in Ireland. I completely forgot to check the conference list as it's been so quiet since last I checked. And I also checked open-source-events.com and nothing was on around October. I thought I was being really careful this time round. :-\ Cheers, /// Vicky ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~ http://irishbornchinese.com ~~ ~~ http://www.python.ie ~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ On Fri, Jan 14, 2011 at 11:49 AM, Mike M?ller wrote: > Pre-Announcement PyCon DE, October 4 - 9, 2011, Leipzig, Germany > ================================================================ > > Will have a PyCon DE October 4 - 9, 2011 in Leipzig, Germany. > This is the first PyCon DE. > > We have a website with minimal information up: > > http://de.pycon.org/ > > The schedule will look like this: > > October 4, 2011 tutorials > October 5-7, 2011 presentations > October 8/9, 2011 sprints > > Since we are still planing, we have no official announcement yet. > This will be done as soon as we have a bit more substance on > conference web site. > > So if you plan a Python conference in 2011 and still haven't decided > on the date, early October might not be the best time. ;) > > To avoid (too much) overlapping of dates of Python conferences you > can have a look at: > > http://www.python-academy.com/events/python_events.html > > If you have more information about upcoming conferences just let me know, > so I can add it to the table. > > > Mike > > > > _______________________________________________ > Conferences mailing list: Conferences at python.org > http://mail.python.org/mailman/listinfo/conferences > > This is an open list with open archives; sensitive or confidential > information should not be discussed here. > -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
