Yet Another Society.  It's the nonprofit that organizes YAPC,
(Yet Another Perl Conference) in the eastern half of North America
and in Europe.

YAS' mission is to support collaborative efforts in open source
development.  It's explicitly set up to be much more than just Perl, and
has already held a Mozilla conference.
