Contemporary dance companies descend on Seattle from the four corners of the earth on June 13-22, Get a festival pass and experience the world without  leaving Seattle. ** ART ON THE FLY

Take a free Tango class, jump into an art installation, follow dancers with a kazoo...all these things you can do at Art on the Fly which blocks off Terry Avenue in South Lake Union for two  days of urban art folly. Event is kid-friendly and includes food trucks and alcoholic beverages, a craft fair and a dusk dance party hosted by City Arts magazine!

See the world and some great local talent to boot. Pacific Northwest Ballet's Ezra Thomson mixes it up with Jerome Aparis and the Massive Monkees street stylin' ways. This wild audience favorite exposing Seattle's depth of talent will add a twist in 2014 with a $500 Artistic Development Award given to one artist each night with audience and panelists voting. Curated by Andrew Bartee (PNB/Whim W'Him), KT Niehoff (Lingo Dance) and Jerome Aparis (Massive Monkees), you can see artists such as GenderTender, Marlo Martin/Badmarmar, Kate Wallich, Markeith Wiley and many more.
