Hey fellow Pythonistas—

I’m co-instructor for a new course through Northwestern’s Center for Talent Development called Advanced Raspberry Pi. It’s designed for third and fourth graders to learn about programming and electronics. This course is designed as a follow-on to the introductory course. However, if you know any 8-9 yr-olds that have any sort of prior experience with Python and the ability to afford their own RPi, please encourage them to look into this class. There are two half-day sessions (AM and PM) and it is offered at the Evanston campus. Minimum enrollment is 6 students per section, though I think we can have as many as 12. Right now the afternoon section needs more students.

The CTD largely depends on word-of-mouth for advertising; it’s a small office that serves as an offshoot of Northwestern’s education department. Please help spread the word.

Thanks,
