I’m also interested in the general idea of packaging writing about data with the data, and making that something with less overhead for analysts and that’s more friendly to readers.

Sheila (and others) may be interested in this very early stage project by Jeremy Singer-Vine (Wall Street Journal) to use iPython for data journalism. http://notebooks.jsvine.com/introducing-reporter/
