Ack for FreshBooks -- it's an excellent service.

As for incorporation, I can only say a) use a self-service online
provider and b) spend as little money as possible.

Very interesting about Chicago mafia and business license shakedowns.
Glad to hear the city isn't resting on its laurels,

As for an accountant, I can recommend someone I've worked with for a
number of years. He's very low maintenance. Ping me off list if
interested.
