I wanted to encourage you to share with your user groups that meet at
TechNexus…



There’s an opportunity to participate this coming Monday night at TechNexus
for the kickoff of a two week long hackathon event for Walgreens. Dozens of
developer and entrepreneur teams will compete to build mobile apps that
integrate with Walgreens recently released mobile photo APIs (which allow
users to print directly from their phones to their neighborhood Walgreens).
There’s $5,000 in prize money, but winning teams will also receive
mentoring and occupancy within the TechNexus incubator, and ongoing
collaboration with Walgreens.



The kickoff event is Monday night, July 30th, at 6pm at TechNexus. There
will be beer and pizza and an informal chance to network with other
developers and entrepreneurs, and maybe connect up with an existing team in
the competition. The actual hackathon will take place Saturday, August 11.
