I just read an account of an Ericsson telcom app that uses nearly 500K
processes. In production. For reals!

In picking "simple socket server" as the sample app I'm afraid I put
gloves on the two contestants.

Indeed the fight just wasn't bloody enough for my taste. I mean, who
wants love, peace and happiness anyway?

There's an Erlang meeting in the works (within the next few weeks) --
might be fun to up the anti with a *real* concurrency showdown!
