If there were a way for people who register early to communicate with
speakers ahead of time and discuss expectations, that may help a little. The
descriptions of sessions could be clarified as the date approaches, and
people could adjust their schedules accordingly. That process would have to
be cut off at some point so speakers and attendees can finalize their plans.
If the speakers know more about who's coming and what they expect to learn,
they can be better prepared, and know what to include/exclude from the
presentation/tutorial.
