I wanted to offer some history around the problematic "Last Monday of the Month" for COhPy. The meeting was not originally on Mondays, but when our host at the time started scheduling regular events of their own in "our" day/time slot, it turned out Mondays were the most open days to move to. The last Monday did not conflict with some other meetups already happening on other Mondays. So we went with that. Of course that meant we had to have May's a week early. And we skipped Nov/Dec (because of the holidays) and just had a social event early in December. And when July's fell the day after PyOhio, we'd just have a combined COhPy/PyOhio sprint/social at the (now gone) Grandview Winking Lizard. Last Monday a problematic day, and there's nothing sacred about it. Maybe it's time to change it in 2023? I have a lot going on in my life, not least of which a job search in this rough economy as I am running out of savings. I don't have the bandwidth to run a group with a bunch of old leaders that will passively-aggressively try to make sure I keep old habits of the group "because its what we've always done" but won't actually help much with the planning and arrangements. Whatever happens with the monthly group happens. The dojo is unaffected, as it basically runs itself.
