What is the nature of the course ? One solid option for a web-based
environment is http://jupyter.org/ - this is used very frequently at Python
meetings, dojo, etc.

How much collaboration does the course require ? And does any of the course
work require any kind of graphics programming (i.e. PyGame, etc.) ?
