That's not true. look at the mockups I am including.

- version_1 : the current system
- version_2:  the rating on the top (just remove "customer")

*sigh* No, that's not the rationale.

Again: if you want people to rate packages, this feature has to be visible.
at a glimpse.  If it's on the bottom of a 100 miles long page, they
won't use it.

If you ask for feedback, you have to make it visible.

Just look at the two mockups I have included. There's the current system
and there's a mockup with the rating feature on the top right corner.

(like most rating systems, it's always near the title, just open
amazon for instance)

Well, I won't argue any longer. I've shown that page to some people
yesterday (all are web designers, like I am too) and I told them there was
a new rating system on pypi, and no one saw it. I had to explain where it was.

I doubt you will get a lot of feedback on some packages.

They all agreed with me, but they won't register in this ML just to do a +1.

I was just trying to give some hints on ergonomics, I won't fight
for this change.
