I don't really know this, but you may be right.

# cat /etc/centos-release
CentOS Linux release 7.9.2009 (Core)
# /usr/bin/borg -V
borg 1.1.18
# yum list borgbackup
Installed Packages
borgbackup.x86_64                      1.1.18-2.el7           @epel
