[Borgbackup] borg check - Failed to create/acquire the lock

Hello,

I'm trying to check the repo

I'm using:
sudo borg check /path_to_repo

Getting error: Failed to create/acquire the lock

Have restarted the host. There are no other borg operations running and I haven't yet tried to use borg with-lock myself

After suggestions on how to troubleshoot.

I'm using Borg 1.2.0 on Ubuntu 22.04.1
