[Borgbackup] Question: borgbackupping several USB disks to a single common repo

I found this relevant information:
https://borgbackup.readthedocs.io/en/stable/faq.html#can-i-backup-from-multiple-servers-into-a-single-repository

Scenario:

 1. I wish to make a "intelligent, deduplicating, adding" backup of my
(less than 10TB) LUKS video and audio USB disks to a common (10TB,
    RAID, LUKS) repo.
 2. It is a dedicated system (running OpenMediaVault), and I use the WEB
GUI to delock/decrypt and mount all the drives, as usual.

Questions:

 1. What is the "best practice" in my case?
 2. Is there any known pitfall using Borgbackup (command line) to backup
the several smaller disks to the new common repo?
 3. Remark: I tried to use "Vorta", but this was not helpful in my case
(because when I connect disk+1, the files of the previous disks are
not found any more and therefore deleted in the repo.)

Regards
Tom
