[Borgbackup] Can backups be combined?

maybe the most convenient way is to use borg mount with the 
"version(s?)" mount-option.

that will produce a merged view of all archives selected / of all 
dirs/files selected.

you can only mount SOME archives (not all), e.g. the first 3 or last 5 
or matching some archive name pattern, see the "borg mount" options..

you can only make SOME files/dirs in these archives visible below the 
mountpoint (not all), by giving the (relative) full base path. this is 
useful if you already know the precise base path and if there is also a 
lot of other stuff in the archives (which you do not want to use in that 
case).
