Really?

http://backuppc.sourceforge.net/

Version 3.3.1 released on January 11th, 2015
Version 4.0.0alpha3 released on December 1st, 2013

I wish you luck on that(really) as my experience with backuppc is that
it is orders of magnitude more complex to set up then BorgBackup and not
necessarily more stable for the trouble.
