[Baypiggies] More dramatic material?

Hi All,

Before this recent thread about regular expressions gets too cold, I'm looking for a python project whose goal was/is to mostly replace need to use re's.  It showed up in some list or other a year or more ago, and I only had time to glance at it then.  In that quick look it didn't appear to be a regular expression builder.  I've tried to find it since, but without success.  Does anybody recall something like that?
