Hi Mike,

I know this is going to sound obvious and silly, but: the idea behind
BayPIGgies is that it's the Bay Area Python Interest Group.  If people are
posting messages about jobs outside of the Bay Area, even though
relocation is an option, then it really makes more sense to do it on a
more general board like the Python Job Board:

    http://www.python.org/community/jobs/

as well as the user group that's geographically closest to the job in
question.


Let's play with a thought experiment: the alternative to this is for an
employer to hit every Python-related community message board in the world
with the same job posting.  By the reasoning in the previous messages,
this boorish behavior should be acceptable because the job offers to pay
for the relocation fees.

I think you know which way I'm swinging on this.  *grin*
