Hi, I’m Shrikrishna Holla from PES OpenSource Community, a student
community from PESIT, Bangalore. We wish to collaborate with BangPypers to
arrange a Python event called “PyCampus” *PyCampus* aims at spreading the
word of Python in campuses. It will span over three Sundays in August in
PESIT campus. We have divided the whole event into three sections *Day 1 -
11th August 2013 (9:30 AM - 3:30 PM)* This day will have a small
inauguration and sessions on the basics of Python and thus will be more
focused at attracting beginners into programming and Python. *
*

*Target Audience*: Beginners *Objective*: Attract students into programming
and Python *Preferred*: Demos and talks *
*

*Day 2 - 18th August 2013 (9:30 AM - 3:30 PM)* This day will have sessions
and workshops on advanced areas of Python and will be for seasoned
Pythonistas. *
*

*Target Audience*: Intermediate to Advanced *Objective*: Teach new and
amazing tools to leverage the power Python provides *Preferred*: Talks and
Workshops *
*

*
*

*Day 3 - 25th August 2013 (9:30 AM - 5:30 PM)*

This will be a *Hack Day* so that people can apply their newfound Python
skills to build either a specific solution to a problem or any application
of their choice (not decided yet, suggestions welcome!)

We have around 20 odd volunteers who are ready to help with the organizing,
and we can procure support from the college management to arrange for food
and snacks.

If there is anything we have missed, or if there are any suggestions that
you have on this, please let us know. We look forward to your support and
encouragement in organizing this event in our campus

*The* *PES OpenSource Community* was initiated on 16th july 2011 by the
students and alumni of PES Institute of Technology, Karnataka. It is driven
by the spirit and philosophy of open source and aims at popularizing its
cause and at the same time empower the student community’s knowledge of
cutting-edge technology by coming up with new projects and hacks. Our
previous experience involves organizing two 24 hour Hackathons, a Python
Month and several talks. Check out our Website <http://pesos.pes.edu/> Join
