The University of California Observatories (UCO) invites applications for a
Project Scientist position for data pipeline development and data analysis
support for UCO under the supervision of the UCO Director. The selected
candidate will participate in research or creative programs and the
development of modern data reduction pipelines and analysis for UCO in
close collaboration with faculty, staff, and students at University of
California astronomy campuses. Responsibilities include: identifying
shortcomings with existing data reduction pipelines; suggest new projects
at the interface of research, software development and data analysis;
assist in project management; and contribute to publications. The selected
candidate will be able to apply for observing time on the W. M. Keck
Observatory's telescopes, and on those at Lick Observatory where the Shane
3-meter telescope is outfitted with the new "ShaneAO" laser guide star
adaptive optics system.

Review of applications will begin on January 3, 2017.
