[AstroPy] seeking feedback on how to process seismic images from astronomers

Dear Mark,

Maybe astronomy was once at the forefront of digital image processing, but
this not the case anymore. I suggest looking at scikit-image and opencv
both of them do these things pretty well. Let us know how you go!
