Hi everyone,

As a reminder, the deadline for submitting abstracts for the SciPy
2014 conference is *March 14th*:

  https://conference.scipy.org/scipy2014/

As the chair of the mini-symposium on Astronomy, which will take place
during SciPy 2014, I would like to encourage all of you to consider
attending, and applying to present any Python-related Astronomy
projects (whether Astropy-related or not) you have been working on!

It would be great to have many as many people as possible attending
from the astronomy community - in addition to interacting with other
members of the general scientific Python community, it will be a great
opportunity to have discussions at the Astronomy mini-symposium, and
to hold coding sprints to make significant progress on Astronomy
packages. Even if you haven't had a chance to contribute to the
Astronomy Python development efforts until now, this will be your
chance to get involved!

I look forward to seeing many of you there! Please don't hesitate to
let me know if you have any questions!

Cheers,
Tom
