[AstroPy] comments on coordinate system and wcs packages

I think we should move the conversation back to astropy-dev, as it
would be good to have these discussions there for future record (this
is meant to be more of a user-list). I have some comments to make
about some of the points raised in this thread, so I'll start a new
thread there.
