Hi.

  I have an installer for IRAF 2.14.1 with STSCI Python for Ubuntu LTS 
and Debian Stable.
  It uses the following distro packages to keep it a stock as possible.

python-pmw
python-urwid
ipython
python-numpy
python-scitools
python-tk
python-dev
python-mpmath
python-scientific
python-scipy
python-matplotlib
python-matplotlib-data
