Job Description

We have a fantastic opening for an experienced Sr. Python Developer to share their knowledge and further expand their skills into data engineering and data science programs. We are seeking a Sr. Python Developer to join our growing team of data scientists, customer experience specialists, data engineering and Salesforce management professionals. We have launched several campaigns utilizing our current solution and are seeking to further stabilize the product by extending industry standards and best practices.

The position is 100% remote, however, currently we are unable to consider candidates for remote opportunities in the following states: California, Hawaii, New Jersey, New York, and Washington. At this time, we are currently not accepting candidates that require a Visa Sponsorship

The Senior role is a high-level contributor and an expert in software development skills. Also has a good understanding of the business domain. Responsible for implementing and/or integrating new products, processes, methodologies, frameworks, and technologies.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Senior level programming experience in a Python application development environment (building packages, use of virtual environments, cross platform applications)
  • Participate in the full SDLC process using Agile methodology including task breakdown/estimation/prioritization, iterative planning, development, unit testing, and release/deployment.
  • Ability to work closely with peers and internal stakeholders to leverage your technology experience to improve systems and applications within the organization.
  • Collaborative team development and mentorship skills.
  • Extensive experience with common python libraries including numpy and pandas
  • Jupyter Notebook integration with IDE code development.
  • Work closely with a collaborative group of technical, non-technical and analytic team members passionately committed to making an impact in today’s healthcare environment and helping people live the healthiest lives possible.
  • Code planning and re-design for large-scale enterprise application deployment and maintenance.
  • MSSQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, PySpark or equivalent RDBMS experience.
  • Participation in code reviews via git workflow.
  • Mentor junior python developers on development best practices, routines, and techniques for developing solid enterprise technologies.
  • Present at Python user group meetings.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with PySpark, Databricks, Azure, Data Science, Statistics, Cloud data and code architecture,
  • Familiarity with Sales Force API (SFMC and SFHC), AirFlow, Jenkins, Docker, Power Automate, R, ETL (such as Informatica, Control-M, DataStage)
  • Familiarity with healthcare data, codes and analytics.
  • Advanced Debugging, Refactoring and import optimization through IDEs such as PyCharm or Visual Studio.
  • Leverage new and emerging technologies to fulfill project requirements and objectives.
  • Python Library/Package dependency management across multiple platforms.
  • Experience with testing frameworks (unittest, pytest, coverage).
  • Demonstrated proficiency with collaboration tools including Bitbucket, MS Teams, JIRA, Confluence
  • Two years of healthcare related software development experience
  • Knowledge of applicable PHI and compliance data privacy practices

Job Essentials

  • Codes, tests, debugs, and documents Python programs, and enhances existing programs to ensure that production systems continue to meet user needs.
  • Coordinates interface with team management regarding project status, direction and user needs.
  • Contributes to the development of high-level system architecture documents and detailed design specifications to serve as a guide for system/application development.
  • Assists with scheduling, resource estimates, and prioritization to meet user requirements.
  • Maintains a high-level understanding of industry application development best practices, tools, programming languages and techniques. Keeps current with new developments in the information technology industry and assists in the development and implementation of standards and methodologies at the organizational and departmental levels.
  • Coordinates with analysts, data scientists and consultants in the design and development of new software applications.
  • Works with external software suppliers such as Salesforce to coordinate software integration and resolution of problems.
