Your main tasks will be in the areas of data mining, operationalization of analytical models and conception of new data science applications throughout the company. You will analyze and optimize the success of sales measures in the existing customer environment across all channels, and use precisely tailored machine learning methods to provide forecasts that can be used to manage key assets of the company in a forward-looking manner. Furthermore, you apply your expertise to expand the application fields of analytical models and support the implementation and operationalization through a deep understanding of the data, business partners and technical systems involved.

  • You develop and operate analytical models that optimize sales activities in the area of existing customer management based on data.
  • You will work extensively with Business Partners across the business to create new use cases for analytical models and data analytics.
  • You will ensure that performance measurement of deployed algorithms are integrated into existing reporting landscapes.
  • Performing ad-hoc analysis to support various business partners and deriving strategic action recommendations for management are also part of your responsibilities.

In addition to a degree in statistics, computer science, physics or a comparable course of study, you already have some practical experience in the development and operationalization of Data Science artifacts, ideally in the CRM environment:

  • You have an excellent flair for numbers and data, but also understand the specialist areas and business contexts and are able to prepare and communicate analysis results in an easily understandable way.
  • In addition, you bring professional experience in the field of Data Science, Customer Intelligence or Data Mining.
  • You are proficient in at least one programming language from the Data Science environment, preferably Python (or R, SAS) and have experience with SQL for complex analyses.
  • Furthermore, you ideally have experience in collaborative development of software artifacts via Git, SVN or similar, as well as in implementing appropriate quality measures to increase code quality and resilience (e.g. unit tests) of existing artifacts.
  • Ideally, you have had exposure to analytical data modeling and preparation, as well as knowledge of technical infrastructures.
  • A structured and analytical work style, combined with a high level of commitment and self-responsibility as well as fun in teamwork complete your profile.

Key skills

  • Experience in the field of Data Science
  • Very good knowledge of one of the programming languages Python/R/SAS or comparable
  • Advantageous: experience in IT and/or telecommunications
  • Understanding of telecommunication processes/KPIs
