Job Description

Bamboo Insurance seeks an experienced Python Developer and Full Stack Engineer to help us build out our cloud based platform. You will work closely with other developers and industry experts to build and support features for both internal and external users. The development team you will be working with will be highly distributed and you should be comfortable with asynchronous communication.

We are based in California and prefer to work with someone in North or South America so we have some overlap in business hours.

Requirements

You will * Write, review, and maintain code primarily in Python and JavaScript * Build new features for both internal and external users * Adhere to our high engineering standards * Work collaboratively with a highly distributed team

Preferred Qualifications * Experience (3+ years) with Python (or a similar language like Ruby), JavaScript, and SQL * Generalist who can work on both the frontend and backend, and can solve problems efficiently and elegantly * Experience with TDD and other development best practices * Knowledge of deployments and cloud infrastructure * Experience using Git and Unix * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Insurance experience is a plus
