Job Description

django/python Web developer Location: Newcastle upon Tyne, UK Salary: £30,395 to £39,610 per annum Closing date: 1 December 2018

You will be developing and and supping innovative Web-based systems that enhance the delivery of learning and teaching. This post will be involved in the full development lifecycle of a variety of development projects including specification of requirements, stakeholder liaison, design, coding documentation and testing of solutions. You will work as part of a dynamic team of 9 developers supporting Web-based systems used by over 18,000 students and staff.

Requirements

You will be educated to a minimum of degree level and have proven ability to work with Web Frameworks (Django), Python, HTML, CSS frameworks, JavaScript, JSON, XML, Ajax, database services (MySQL, Postgres), Version Management Tools (Git), Web deployment technologies (Apache, Memcache, WSGI), use of web services and APIs to integrate systems and data sources and be familiar with Linux based servers.
