Job Title

Data Engineer (with Python)

Job Description

Every day, millions of people rely on WeTransfer to share their creative ideas. So, the work we do matters. Come and be a part of it.

WeTransfer is used by millions every day - from our moms to your favourite artists. The quest, to design simple tools to a wide variety of people, comes with a lot of decisions. Should we develop bigger file transfer sizes or rather build an integration for a designer tool? From our website to mobile applications till our content platform, we are challenged with new questions each day. It is our responsibility to fill the gaps with quantitative research and experimentation to shape the future of our products.

As a Data Engineer will be responsible for the design, development, implementation and support of our analytical tools. Some we will source from third parties, others we will build in-house. We are looking for someone who will gladly choose an off the shelf solution when it is the right fit, but is also not afraid to get their hands dirty with code when such a solution does not exist. Currently, our data is stored in MySQL, Postgres, Redshift and S3, and we’re always looking for new ways and tools to turn that data into actionable insights. The Data Engineer plays a crucial role in that process, sitting at the intersection between engineering and business.
