Job Description

The Max Planck Institute for Cognitive and Neurosciences (MPI CBS) in Leipzig examines the function of the human brain. Our studies lead us to significant results in fundamental research. Other institutes of the Max Planck Society (MPG) (e.g. the Max Planck Institute for Human Development, Berlin) also carry out such studies, to enable a collaborative project of MPG to develop an open source management system for the organisation and implementation of such studies. Within the scope of this project we search a Django Developer.

Tasks:

  • agile software development of front-end/back-end services and systems
  • conceptual assistance in the development of the system
  • programming and development of Django modules and interfaces
  • support during deployment, data protection certification and security audit of the software

Requirements

  • team-oriented, creative and open-minded Django developer
  • very good knowledge of Django and Python (full stack is advantageous)
  • university degree in computer science, natural sciences or equivalent
  • proven experience in agile software development
  • very good knowledge of relational and non-relational databases
  • very good command of German and English, both spoken and written
