Legalist is using legal data to reinvent litigation finance. Backed by Y Combinator, our team applies machine learning to successfully invest in the $3 billion litigation finance industry. We're working at the intersection of finance, technology and law and are looking for software engineers to join our team.
As a full stack engineer, you’ll work closely with our other engineers to build and ship key features. We are detail oriented and value clean, modular, and high-performing code. As an early engineer, you’ll directly influence our entire tech stack, from standards to frameworks to architecture.

Key qualifications for this role include:
-A degree in computer Science, engineering, mathematics, statistics, or other analytical field
-2+ years experience working in Python or similar scripting language
-Experience working with modern data stores such as MySQL/Postgres, S3, Cassandra or similar.
-Ability to design clean APIs and understanding of performance issues
-Experienced with software engineering best practices – design patterns, code reviews, unit and integration testing, etc.
