Python / full-stack Developer New
Whitespace Ventures
London, United Kingdom

Job Title

Python / full-stack Developer

Job Description

We’re building a knowledge marketplace for companies. It’s a platform similar to an appstore, companies sign up and download tools (like apps) for their organisation. With tools, companies can perform a range of functions from filling in VAT returns to completing a public listing. What makes this project cool is that we’re designing a simple tool system that allows tools to be built by anyone, including non- technical people. Because of the scale and nature of the project, we’re directly working with partners such as Microsoft, Cisco and ICAP.

Current Project stack: Python Framework -> Flask – Blueprints + Jinja2 + WTForms Database -> PostgreSQL and MongoDB Front End UI -> Bootstrap + React.js + Ajax Websockets Docker

We’re able to pay between £35 - £60k depending on skill.

Restrictions

  • No telecommuting
  • Agencies are OK

Requirements

A full stack dev who wants to work in a small developer team. We’re not hiring for just this project but for core members of the team who will continue to work on various projects (we’ve built everything from iOS apps to mobile backend solutions) that we all find interesting. You should be able to be proactive and work with initiative and independence.

Knowledge of Python (Flask) and React will be hugely beneficial.

About the Company

We're a small team based in London, UK. Currently, there are 3 developers and you would work with a team of 6. Our workflow follows a SCRUM methodology and using Trello, Slack and GitHub. We would want you to work locally with our team in either our London or Belfast office.

Bonus: we have an HTC vive and ping pong table.
